PLAYER BIO
Williams joined the Crusaders in 2016 following spells with Liverpool Lions and Mersey Storm, quickly establishing himself as one of the club’s most consistent and influential players.
Known for his combination of power, speed, and agility, Williams became a regular figure within the Crusaders squad, captaining the side across multiple seasons and finishing among the club’s leading try scorers year after year. In 2019, he recorded a then club-record return of 51 tries, helping guide the Crusaders to a fourth-place Super League finish and a Challenge Cup Semi-Final appearance.
Making his debut at the 2016 Spring Slam, Williams remained an ever-present member of the squad before departing midway through the 2023 campaign. In recognition of his contribution to the club, he was honoured with a farewell fixture against Warrington Wolves, where he had previously featured through dual-registration.
Following his departure, Williams played a key role in supporting the development of Wheelchair Rugby League in New Zealand, helping establish both national and domestic structures. He returned to the Crusaders during the latter stages of the 2024 season, helping the club secure a Play-Off place before signing for Edinburgh Giants ahead of their debut Super League campaign in 2025. Despite his move, Williams has remained closely involved with the Crusaders, continuing to support the development of the club’s Welsh League side.
Born in Wrexham and raised on the Wirral, Williams was introduced to Wheelchair Rugby League through fundraising work and has gone on to build a highly respected career within the sport. Alongside rugby league, he has represented Canterbury Rollers in Wheelchair Basketball and remains active in coaching and community sport development.

Representative Honours:
Williams became Wales Wheelchair RL’s sixth captain, first leading the national side during the 2017 World Cup against Spain. He also captained Wales during the 2022 Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup.
