Joining Crusaders back in 2016 following a stint with Liverpool Lions as well as a short loan with Mersey Storm.
Williams who is known how his mix of power, speed and agility has been a regular in the Crusaders side since joining the club and has been one of the clubs most consistent players, captaining the team for multiple seasons whilst also finishing top try scorer in three of his seven seasons at the club, back in 2019 finishing second in the top try scorer by managing a then record 51 tries.
Making his Crusaders debut at the 2016 Spring Slam, Williams has been an ever present member of the squad, opting to leave the Crusaders midway during the 2023 campaign, Stuart was honoured by a farewell game against then Super League side, Warrington Wolves, whom he had made a number of appearances whilst on dual-registration.
Following his departure, Williams was poached to use his experience, ability and overall love for the sport to assist in the launching and initial development of the New Zealand national and domestic set-ups.
The 2024 season will see Stuart sponsored by, Howdens, established back in 1995 to provide trade customers with kitchens, joinery, and hardware products, which are available from local stock at depots across the UK, France, and Belgium.
Starting with just 14 depots, there are now more than 800 locations supporting the trade achieve exceptional results for their customers. As a British manufacturer, they were founded on the principle that the business should be worthwhile for all concerned.
