McCabe who is one of the Crusaders’ best defensive players, joined the club midway through the 2022 by attending a purpose taster session for one of the Crusaders' partners, AVOW.

Joining the club as one of its youngest players, McCabe soon became renowned for his confidence and ability in defence and his ability to frustrate the opposition, and in 2022 was rewarded by claiming the clubs ‘Young Player of the Year’.

2023 was a successful season for you McCabe, claiming the clubs Young Player of the Year for a second consecutive year. McCabe will have a tough decision to make should he decide to pursue the game at an international level as he can represent Ireland, Wales and fairly new international side, USA.
