McCabe joined the Crusaders midway through the 2022 season after attending a taster session organised through one of the club’s community partners, AVOW.

One of the youngest members of the squad at the time of his arrival, McCabe quickly earned a reputation as one of the club’s strongest defensive players. Known for his confidence, determination, and ability to frustrate opposition attacks, he became a valuable member of the Crusaders setup from an early stage.

His performances were recognised at the club’s End of Season Awards, where he was named Young Player of the Year in 2022. He successfully retained the award the following season, underlining his continued development and consistency on the court.

As one of the club’s most promising young talents, McCabe continues to develop his game and remains an important part of the Crusaders squad.

McCabe is eligible to represent Ireland, Wales, and the United States at international level.
