Turner, known for his combination of size, strength, and ball-handling ability, has been an important member of the Crusaders since joining the club in 2023.
Primarily playing as a centre/pivot or inside/middle, he progressed from the Crusaders ‘A’ side into the club’s First Team, establishing himself as a reliable and versatile option within the squad. His performances have earned praise for both his leadership qualities and rapid development within the sport, particularly given that 2023 marked his debut season in Wheelchair Rugby League.
Born in Basingstoke, Turner is also an accomplished Masters Rugby League player, representing the Chester Gladiators for a number of seasons. He notably featured in both elements of Harry Jones’ Testimonial, highlighting his commitment across multiple formats of the game.
Away from the court, Turner attracted national attention in 2024 after completing the London Marathon in a rhino-themed wheelchair to raise money for Save the Rhino, crossing the finish line in an impressive time of 5 hours and 45 minutes.
